Empty Room Series
Having lived the life of struggling indie artists, we are no strangers to singing to an empty room now and again, but this time we’re doing it on purpose! We have begun a series of acoustic versions of our songs (and maybe some covers?) from empty rooms…starting with one in our home which recently had to undergo some brick repairs.
It was nice to christen the recently repaired room with a little bit of music. We knew we wanted to do this, but getting our work schedules to gel so that we could get it done took a while and I must admit, I was quite anxious because we had been waiting a while to get moved back in the room but we wanted to preserve the empty room until we could get a few videos done.
In a strange way, there was a parallel to our touring days–having to sing and play before we could get back to sleeping in our own bedroom! We moved in yesterday and slept, for the first time in months, in our “real” bedroom. Yay. We hope you enjoy the informal videos that resulted.
